Nadi Shuddhi kriya


Nadishuddhi kriya commonly known as alternate nostril breathing. This is one of the very beautiful gift Yoga has offered to us.

During my own practice of longer duration, I have experienced a stability and grounding. There is an awareness of present moment. Present moment , very tricky, when I force myself to be in present moment, it wanders in all lengths and breadth of my mind. And when I am least bothered, I can be in that. This, very simple practice, gets me to this present moment.

Awareness sharpens from grosser to subtler aspects. Thoughts being the most subtle aspect though….There are innumerable thoughts which keep occurring in a mind. These may come from #unconscious, subconscious mind or some conscious thinking.

This Nadishuddhi kriya gradually calms and settles your mind. As the name suggests this kriya cleanses and purifies all your nadis (as mentioned in the scriptures, psychic passages flowing throughout your body). The more purified one is the more balanced and energetic one becomes.
